With the tremendous growth we've had in
Frisco, transportation is a major concern. As our city continues to grow, we must take a major look at our transportation system and determine what we are going to do to facilitate the growth.
In my opinion,
the city's 2015 Comprehensive Plan doesn't do anything to strategically
build infrastructure for our growing population.
The Dallas North Tollway is
land-locked on the east and the west, surface streets aren't going to be wide enough for the projected 375,000 population at build out, and we aren't prepared for the type of growth that our city is predicting.
Lets just say that
we do end up with 375,000 residents. How are we going to get anywhere with only two tollways in place?
The city planners currently believe we are going to make up for this deficit by everyone living, working, and playing in Frisco. But that is just not realistic.
are going to need to commute outside of Frisco to go to work. Not everyone is going to drive a vehicle. There are people who will desperately need public
In my opinion, our transportation infrastructure is
nowhere NEAR ready to support 375,000 residents. We must take a serious look at our transportation plan as we build out the remaining 50% of the city.
